Terms of sale and licence
Last updated 12 October 2026.
Who we are
Eagle Commander is made and licensed by Aleš Orel (Eaglesoft), a private individual, Griček pri Željnah 8, 1330 Kočevje, Slovenia; tax number 56407939, not registered for VAT. You can reach us at support@eaglesoft.si.
Buying
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you buy, you buy from Paddle, and Paddle’s buyer terms apply to the purchase itself. These terms cover what you may do with Eagle Commander.
The trial
Eagle Commander works fully for 30 days from the day you first open it. After that it keeps working for browsing, searching, viewing, comparing and checksums, without a time limit; copying, moving, deleting, renaming and the other commands that change files need a licence.
The licence
- A licence lets one person use Eagle Commander on every Mac they use. A team or a company buys one licence for each person who uses it.
- A licence covers every 1.x version, including the updates published for it. A future 2.0 may ask for a new licence; the 1.x versions you have keep working with the licence you have.
- The licence is paid once. It does not expire.
- Your licence key carries your e-mail address. Keep it to yourself: do not publish it, share it or sell it.
- You may not resell Eagle Commander, or remove the notices in it. You may not decompile or reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows you regardless of these terms.
- Eagle Commander contains open-source components under their own licences. They are listed in the app under Help → Acknowledgements, and nothing in these terms limits what those licences allow.
Updates
Eagle Commander asks once whether it may check for new versions. If you say no, it never checks on its own; you can still choose Check for Updates… yourself. An update is never installed without your consent.
Your files
Eagle Commander copies, moves, overwrites and deletes files when you tell it to, and some of those operations cannot be undone. Keep backups of what matters to you.
Warranty and liability
We make Eagle Commander with care and fix the faults we learn about. Beyond that, it is provided as it is, to the extent the law allows. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights — including the legal guarantee that digital content conforms to its description — are not affected by anything in these terms.
Our liability for any damage is limited to the price you paid for the licence, except where the law does not allow such a limit, such as damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.
Refunds
You can ask for your money back within 30 days of the purchase, for any reason. How, and what happens after, is in the refund policy. When a purchase is refunded, its licence ends.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
Changes
If we change these terms, the version that applied when you bought keeps applying to that purchase.
